Easter basket

Spring fairy.

I made this little spring basket to cheer up a friend whos feeling down after getting some bad news.

For the basket I used the Martha Stewart border punch, garden trellis. I coloured it with Distress ink Squeezed lemon and Peacock feathers and stamped it with CI-365, To help keep its shape I strengthened the lower rim of the basket with the plastic circle from a red liner tape.

I stamped and cut out the pretty design elements CI-364  butterfly and flowers and coloured them with distress ink. I did the same with the fairy CI-132. Then arranged everything on the basket and finished with some glitter and sequins over the handle. I'll fill the basket with little easter eggs to complete the gift. I'm entering this in the Crafty Individuals blog challenge.

Altered Keys

Key swap.

The first of our swaps this year at Cardmaking Paradise was to alter two keys. Now I know there are a bunch of old keys in this house somewhere, but could i find them!  Well I eventually got hold of a couple from other sources so could join in with the swap.

The first key I painted with viva precious metal paint, added a twist of wire and beads and topped it with a flower and ribbon.

The second key was actually a car key so decided to remove the plastic end, with great difficulty! so I could add a bottlecap decoration. I painted this key and the bottlecap with pebeo fantasy paint and while still wet sprinkled with a mix of glitter. Finished with a flower and some ribbon.

Time for a challenge or two....

Sorry folks I've got behind with my blog posts will try and catch up ASAP. I'll start with the card i've just made to combine two challenges. One, a great sketch at Cardmaking Paradise, so simple to follow. The other, animals or birds on ODBD blog.

I stamped the background in versamark and coloured with chalk. All the stamps used are from ODBD I used some of the waste from the die cuts to trim the end of the green panel.
