Birthday bet for a birthday boy!

It felt quite strange making this card .......its been ages since i did a decoupage which might explain the big bundle of decoupage sheets in the drawer LOL! Note to self must use up my stash! Made an acetate window on front of card to show off the back of the image which is also decoupaged. Even used some peel off stickers and only one tiny stamped Cheers in the corner!

No ink ...........

That makes a change. Its been a while since I made a card and didn't have inky fingers. Lovely Dufex fairy decoupage on dry embossed mats and layers with some die cut corners as embellishments and a ribbon to finish.

Wedding Commision.

I was asked to make a small wedding card after donating some cards to a local group to help them raise funds for a summer outing. Perfect oppertunity to use my new set of sentiment stamps which includes one for a wedding.

Embossed the main card with tiny hearts. Added the decoupage and a ribbon border with the stamped greeting. Very quick and easy, I hope they like it.

Need for speed!

Had total creative block this week when trying to come up with ideas for a special card for my son so was not impressed with the finished article!  Simple matting and layering and a decoupage racing car. Made a couple of finishing flags using a diamond pattern background stamp from Crafty Individuals and cocktail sticks finished with peel off greeting and borders.

Rabbits rule!

Made this fun card for my sons birthday. The garden shed is part of a decoupage.  I used Crafty Individual diamond background stamp in brown to create a herringbone type paving for the garden with a grass edge either side then added Beatrix Potter characters and more paving with the greeting for the easel stopper.

Special friend.

This is quite a big card and there's a bit of everything on it .........

The lady and greetings are stamped and embossed in silver. The background is printed and decoupaged. The flowers, butterfly and flourishes are die cut and the borders are peel offs. I printed a matching background insert to finish it off.

I was sent this stacker decoupage sheet with a few other bits and pieces in a RAK. Thought it was great fun and made this card with it and the matching backing paper.

Religous set.

Time seems to be passing so quickly just now, already nearly the end of March and Easter fast approaching so I thought i'd better make a start on my Easter cards.

Just a few quick and easy cards with decoupage images and simple matting and layering using the cuttlebug dies or embossing folders.

My worst crafting experience!

Well thats how this card started off. I was in need of some more glue so decided to try some Pinflair glue gel that everyones using just now. So while on the website I had a look around, as you do, and low and behold a KIT fell in my basket. It was the images that attracted me and as I wasn't feeling very creative I thought a kit would be good. How wrong was I !!! I made it up as instructed but it was the worst feeling ever, there just wasn't any of ME in it and I felt cheated.

So to satisfy my creative nature I made it into this. As my card has now became a topper the finished card is A3 folded. What do you think, an improvement or not? Don't know what i'm going to do with the rest of the kit but i definately won't be buying any more. LOL
