Altered coaster swap

Wall hanging.

Loved doing this swap and i think i'm getting the hang of this altered art business. LOL

Started by priming the coaster with gesso before covering it with gold viva decor croco crackle paint. When dry I rubbed over with some Blackberry precious metal colour to highlight the cracks. Used my favourite Craft Individuals stamp set CI-364 pretty design elements and stamped the flower stem and butterfly with Adirondak ink 'currant', coloured with distress ink and cut out. Stamped one of the CI-065 love letter ladies for the focal point and added a hint of colour. Arranged all the elements adding some lace and ribbon, a charm coloured with precious metal and finished with some pearls.

For Sara.

Had to make something special for Sara birthday so when i saw this in a magazine I knew it was just the thing. Used some vintage papers for the body and a doily for the shawl. Made the face and features and stamped happy birthday, added a flower to finish.

For a friend who lost her mum.

A simple card using a crafty individuals mask and glimmer mist for the background. Stamped and cut out the butterflies from CI-364 and stamped the our daily bread design sentiment directly onto the card, edged with ink and attached to main card.

For a friend.

Haven't used this format for a while, but its was just right for this card. Background paper overstamped with Crafty Individuals elegant swirl and inked the edges. The flower is an old Elusive Image stamp cut out and layered then matted on a decorative die cut circle. Added some gems and a peeloff 60 coloured to match when I found out it was her 60th birthday.

Easter blessings to you all.

This is a second entry for the ODBD challenge this week. I followed a sketch on Cardmaking Paradise blog for the layout....see sketch 3.

The background paper was made by blending distress ink and stamping repeatedly with the ODBD verse from the Christ is Risen set and finished with the small lily as the focal point.

He is Risen....

Challenge on ODBD for the next two weeks is 'The true meaning of Easter.' I used the lovely ODBD grunge cross stamp and die for this clean and simple card.

Clean and Simple.

I was inspired by a design on the Craft Barn Blog by Isabelle Norris and made this card for the ODBD challenge this week......Spring has Sprung! well maybe someone could tell the weather man!! as its snowing here and a bitterly cold wind.

I used a  verse from the ODBD stamp set 'I am the way' with distress ink Shaded Lilac and Squeezed Lemon to stamp a background on the main card. Then on a seperate piece of card I stamped the ODBD grunge cross background coloured with the same ink and cut out a cross using the ODBD grunge cross die. I also stamped the lily from the set, coloured and cut it out for the centre of the cross and finished with the sentiment in lilac and shaded with lemon.

Sorry its such a poor photo
