Get well with a difference!

The challenge #123 on the Stampin Sisters in Christ blog was to make a heart stand out. Well what else could I use but the template from Cardmaking Paradise it fits the bill perfectly. I stamped and embossed the design on the heart with clear embossing powder and blended sunshine yellow and red pepper Adirondak ink to colour, which showed my stamping wasn't perfect but I decided i liked how it looked of these happy accidents!! The sentiment is stamped on clear acetate and attached with an eyelet.

Alternative Valentine.

Something a little different to the usual red hearts to give to the one you love. Crafty Individuals background paper from book 6 the Seaside combined with the lovers from Clarity stamps, stamped with Archival ink 'cobalt'. Just a simple ribbon and a few birds to embellish.

Also entering this card for Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge #122 'something new' ..........the dies and the two label stamps are new.

Watering Can

Its addictive...

The latest template at Cardmaking Paradise is so easy to make and suitable for so many occasions I just couln't stop making them. Here's some of them.

For this one I used background paper from Crafty Individuals springtime book, one for the watering can and another to cut out flowers to layer as embellishments.

This one is dry embossed in the cuttlebug using the polka dot folder in reverse and the images stamped and embossed. Added glitter for some sparkle.

I did the same for this one but I inked the folder first to give a nice crisp edge to the embossing to make the impressions stand out more.

And finally this one I used glimmer mist to colour the white watering can, unfortunately the glimmer doesn't show in the photo. Die cut flower and stem and a shrink plastic embellishment using the smaller of the templates.

Hope you like them and are inspired to try one for yourself, or two, or three......

First challenge of the year

Anything goes!

Thats the latest challenge on Our Daily Bread Design Blog, perfect for trying out my new stamps and die set. Loving the Bird and Butterfly label stamps, they look amazing when cut out with the matching dies.

Went overboard with this card and used stamps from the Don't Worry set as well. Used the Martha Stewart trellis punch as a garden fence and partly stamped one of the bird and butterfly stamps for foliage at the bottom.

All the Best for 2012.

Well last year must be the worst year on record as far as i'm concerned so I'm looking forward to a better one as we start 2012.

Just a quick post to show you a ribbon bookmark I made as a little gift for a friend.

Happy Crafting everyone.
