White with a touch of colour.

Thats the new challenge on the Form-a-Line forum. This is where the Cuttlebug comes in really handy with all the folders and dies to add interest to a card. The background is a Craft Too 'Daisy' embossing folder and Spellbinder Cross dies and Fancy Tags 2 dies. Stamped the Easter sentiment in yellow and edged the cross in yellow to finish.

Smile swap

Happiness is....

That was the theme for a wall hanging 'smile' swap at Cardmaking Paradise. Well I was happy that Winter was turning into Spring so used that as my subject.

Made the background using silver holographic card and Luna Light Paints.... Teal, Sunrise Yellow,Sirius White and Ice Blue. Dropped the colours onto card and using a second piece 'smooched' them together and peeled apart to get the grassy texture springing up through the snow!

At this time of year the birds start sing so I made one from silver metal coloured with Stream Alchol Ink added wire and beads for tail and a bead for the eye. Stamped some grasses/flowers and musical notes.

Cut smaller circles to add interest underneath joined with some gorgeous ribbon from a friend and made a box to protect the metal bird from getting damaged in the post.

Dress Form

New template.

The dress form comes in three different styles and can be found on the Cardmaking Paradise website. Had fun making this but don't think i'd go far as a dress designer LOL. I used pieces from a decoupage sheet to add interest to the navy dress. Not sure if the lower frill quite works.........what do you think?

Aqua plus sentiment.

This is one of my favourite colours so I really enjoyed doing the challenge on Our Daily Bread this week. It fits well with the challenge on Stampin Sisters in Christ blog which is use a light and dark colour.

I used a combination of dark and light card and aqua embossing powder for all the stamping.

Clean and Simple

Things with wings.....

Thats the challenge on Stampin Sisters in Christ this week. Now this proved more of a challenge that you'd think. I love this bird stamp from a set by Elusive Images but find it really hard to work with given its size and shape so after much deliberation I decided it was best suited to a CAS style of card and ended up with this.

Stamped Flowers

Flowers in abundance!

Well the challenge on Our Daily Bread was to use stamped flowers so thats what I did.......

On green card I stamped the background using Raisin Adirondack ink with the flower from the 'Don't Worry' stamp set and coloured them with Polychromos pencils then blended with 'Mustard Seed' distress ink over the edge of the card.

Again with Raisin ink I stamped and die cut the flower frame and added an Easter verse. Then using the same flower, stamped and cut it out to embellish the flower frame. The frame, fowers and card are all edged with gold Krylon pen.

Grunge Cross

Challenge entries.

Thats another page turned on the calendar, lighter nights and flowers in the garden Spring is on the way!

Two challenge entries today using my new grunge cross stamp and die.

First up Our Daily Bread challenge #98 not a square or rectangle. I used Spellbinders die Labels 17 to cut a shaped card and layered it with blue mirri patterned card, and matching stamped layer topped with the grunge cross cut from the same patterned card and finished with a sentiment from mini tags 3.

Next up Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge #128 a variety of colour, so for this one I used my Kaleidocolor ink pad 'Baby Powder' to stamp with and again used the Label 17 dies for layering.............well it was handy!!!
