Good News!

For anyone that has been wondering how Jordan (see photos in side bar) is doing, I'm pleased to say her Chemotherapy has worked very well and she is in remmission:)

The vet is very pleased with her progress and is reducing her treatment to every fortnight and aims to faze it out even further if she stays well.

Now that June is almost here, and hopefully some warm sunny weather, we can get back to enjoying some nice country walks.

For my Hubby!

Hi everyone sorry its been a bit quiet on here lately, I have been busy crafting but can't reveal what i've been up to for a few weeks yet except for this card because today we celebrate our aninniversary and this is the card I made for my other half.

Used the lovely heart template from Time For Crafting website and stamped the background design in Copper brilliance ink using a corner stamp from clarity stamps. The 'lovers' are also a clarity stamp. Edged it all with copper pen to finish.

Big Butterfly.

Been trying out my new Marianne butterfly die I used a piece of pearlesant card so it has a lovely sheen in real life. I cut some flowers to match. The background also has a lovely glow with poppy and gold glimmer mist on white card overstamped with a flower and script stamp in raisin Adirondack ink. Inked the edges and blended. Repeated process with tag using more red.

Computer easel.

Thought this style of card was ideal for a computer. Made this for my eldest son using a printed image from a film he likes.

Change of style.

A bit frillier than normal LOL.

Made this for my son and his partner. They've just moved into a proper family house now that baby is due in a couple of months.

Stamped image coloured with copics. Used the left over pieces from the circle die and border punch to decorate the corners etc.

Alchol ink 2

Woodland splatters.

Thought i'd give the alchol ink blowing technique another go. Still no big splatters but think it worked better this time.

Colours made me think of a woodland so added a stamped image of a fairy and toadstool to set the scene for this card.

Not enough puff!

I was trying out the alchol ink splatter technique but not getting the desired effect.  I couldn't get the splattered look that blowing drops of alchol ink on acetate with a straw is meant to produce. I ended up with quite a nice background for a card in the end although it looked a right mess at first.

Design Team.

The latest issue of the TFC magazine is out and this is the card I made with Saras lovely suitcase template.

I used Bronze Crackle paint to give the suitcase texture and added some fun holiday embellishments.

Bird theme.

This is the tag I made for the TFC swap.

Distress ink background using a mask, overstamped with birds in the tree stamp and some musical notes for the bird song!! Happy to be out of the cage LOL. Stamped main bird image twice to add dimension. Finished off with a feather and flower etc.
